We’ve begun distributing rock and gravel on our 3′ wide nature trail off of Little Mountain Road. We had a great session on Saturday and accomplished a lot of work. For lunch MVTB provided a selection of clam chowder, salmon chowder, and taco soup from Big Rock.

We’re starting our biggest project to date. So we’re kicking it off with two sessions next week; the first on Friday at 9:00 am – the second on Saturday at 10:00. We had a very productive work party this past Saturday thanks to the support of North Cascade Family Physicians. They had nine volunteers join us. And thank you once again to Leslie Estep and her family for the delicious soup and bread for lunch.

This Saturday our featured group is North Cascade Family Physicians. We’ll meet at the gate on the Little Mountain access road at 10:00am. We will have hot coffee from Starbucks and fresh pastries from the Mount Vernon Haggen.

We’d like to thank Cody Audette of Big Lake Cafe & Grocery for donating soup for the trailbuilders at lunch duing our March 10th session. Also, thanks to Larry Otos, the Mount Vernon Parks and Recreation Director, for coming out and giving us a hand on the trail.

Thanks to Big Rock Cafe & Grocery for being our featured group for the upcoming session. We will be having another work party this Saturday, March 10th. We’ll be continuing work on the nature trail. We’ll meet in Little Mountain Park. Fresh Haggen pastries and Starbucks coffee will be provided. See you there!

We had a good turnout this last session despite the rain and snow. Progress was made on the other end of our new nature trail which will eventually connect to La-Z-Boy.
