Become a trail volunteer!
Sign up to volunteer at an upcoming work party at Northern State Recreation Area in Sedro Woolley, WA. We welcome all ages, abilities, and skills. We love working with individuals, families, students and classrooms, corporate volunteer teams, and community organizations.
Information for New Volunteers
- Arrive at the Pump House Trailhead at 8:50 am so you have time to sign in and grab coffee before we start our safety meeting. We work 9am-4pm.
- Bring lunch and water.
- Dress for varied weather (wear layers and bring a raincoat).
- Wear close-toed shoes.
- Bring your favorite work gloves (we also have some you can borrow).
- Volunteers under age 18 need to bring a signed minor waiver form.
Virus safety protocol: Masking now appears to be behind us, but anyone can choose to wear a mask – based on their own comfort level or situation. If you are not feeling well, or recently had close contact with someone who is ill, please stay home.
How to get there
Parking for volunteers is located on the Port of Skagit SWIFT campus at the corner of Hub Dr and Planters Rd in Sedro Woolley, WA. Once you are parked, follow the signs to the Pump House Trailhead.
