Volunteer Opportunities for Employees

Many companies host employee giving campaigns, supporting staff efforts to create positive social impact and give back to their communities. This support comes in several forms, including matching employee donations, tax-free payroll deductions, and paying employees to spend a day volunteering for a charitable organization.

Staff from PNW NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) donated a day of trail work to the project at Northern State Recreation Area in Spring 2022.

Volunteering with Skagit Trail Builders is a wonderful way for employee teams to donate time. Here’s why:

  • Working outside is great for your physical and mental health.
  • Spending time with your colleagues away from the office in an outdoor setting is excellent for team building.
  • Being able to see the results of your labor at the end of the day (knowing you’ve done something good for the community) is incredibly gratifying!

Our work parties are scheduled the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, Sept-June (except for holidays). To register for our next work party, visit our sign-up form.

If your employee volunteer team would like to schedule a work party during the work week, please email jt@skagittrailbuilders.org to schedule a special session.

If spending a day outdoors building trail isn’t for you, but you’d still like to support the project, we encourage you to donate. You and your company can make a one time donation or set up an on-going tax-free payroll deduction. Please contact us for more information.

We look forward to meeting you!
