Rain or Shine: Volunteers Caring for Local Trails Amid Federal Uncertainty

Volunteers with Skagit Trail Builders completed rock work on 10 culverts, walked miles and miles to deliver rock sand for trail capping, and completed much needed restoration work at Northern State Recreation Area on March 8, 2025.

While our local trail system isn’t directly impacted by the recent federal layoffs, we’re feeling the ripple effects throughout our trail community.
