Trail Update: That’s a wrap! Norlum Trail Phase One is done.

That’s a wrap, folks!

Thanks to our incredible team of volunteers, we completed Norlum Trail Phase One ahead of schedule.

On June 13, 2026, we were joined by participants from the Mountaineers GoHike Course along with our amazing community of local volunteers and trail users. Together we completed the final 800 feet of trail surface and trail-side restoration.

Because our work is done, we are cancelling our June 27 work party.

We wish you a glorious summer of hiking, cycling, running and enjoying the Northern State Trail System.

Thank you to the Port of Skagit, Beth and Ed, and our volunteer crew for contributing many delicious snacks and cold drinks to help our team power through a hot day in the woods.

Congratulations to our Youth Leaders, Chloe and Amelia. They are both off to a summer of travel and fun, then college in the fall. We have appreciated their hard-work, reliability, and happy presence this build season. They will be missed!

2025-2026 Youth Leaders, Chloe and Amelia, have graduated high school and are moving on to big things…good luck, gals! It was truly a pleasure having you on the team this build season.
