Trail Update: Valentine’s Day on Quarry Trail

Happy Valentine’s Day to all the trail lovers who donated their time to Quarry Trail on Feb 14, 2026!

Beth from United General District 304 treated us to decadent butter cookies cleverly decorated with the STB logo! How’s that for love?

We couldn’t have asked for a better crew to help us accomplish our goals for the day:

  1. Install landscape cloth and ballast on section 1
  2. Fill and finish the exposed bedrock on section 2

In addition, we dug 2 drainages, built 2 grade reversals, applied pit run capping and restored the completed segments on section 2.

Our last work party on Quarry Trail is Scheduled for February 28, 2026. Join us for a day of capping, compacting and trail side restoration!

We begin work at Olmsted Park, building a loop trail around Thompson Pond to expand the Northern State Trail System on March 14. More info coming soon…..
