Teams
Capping Bonus Loop with Rock Sand (3 people)
Leads : TBD
Description: Bonus loop is very muddy and needs to be capped with rock sand. We would like to have this trail in good shape for the community fun run scheduled in Feb.
Trail Switchback at Pump House Bridge (4 people)
Leads : Jerry & Jenny
- Description: We are building a second rock wall to improve the sustainability of the existing wall and meet the maximum height differential required by the county (30”).
- Continue work from Jan 11 work party with the goal of completing the rock wall and steps, leveling the surface and topping with rock sand.
Culverts on elevated trail (2-4 people)
Leads : TBD (Lexi & Jason?)
- Description: Repairing and reinforcing the culverts on the elevated trail using small 1-man, 4×8, and concrete where needed.
- At culverts, create rock “walls” at edges of culverts to support larger rocks. Mound the rock over the culverts. Do not block culvert openings.
Power Carrier Drivers (4 people)
Lead : Kip
- Description: Carry rock and gravel from the Pump House Trail Head to our 2 work sites.
Restoration Crew (Everybody else)
Lead : Lynn
- Culvert at north end of the meadow has been trimmed. Naturalize with rock, logs, and organic material. May choose to dig or trim blackberries.
- Start at the “rock garden”. Trim blackberries and dig up root crowns 4’ back from the trail edge.
- Working clockwise around the bonus loop, dig up blackberry crowns 2’ back from trails edge, cut thistles, remove windfall.
Roving Lead : Paul Klein
- Walk between teams making sure everyone has the tools & materials they need, are working safely and efficiently, provide guidance, answer questions.
Loading Power Carriers : JT
- Description: Load gravel and rock into power carriers using the Dingo loader.
