Trail Update: Building sustainable trails takes a lot of work and coordination

A sustainable trail that is a pleasure to walk takes a lot of coordination and work to build!

Volunteers carried this culvert from the trail head to the installation site near the big meadow (it is heavy).

Robert and Kip drove loads and loads of rack (about 1-mile round trip) to fill the mud-hole. Cruz, Michael, Adam, and Jerry arranged the rock while Dean dug a trench for water to drain.

After a long day, the culvert was set and water is flowing.

The work will continue on March 9. (We hope to have extra power carriers to deliver rock, so it arrives at the build site more quickly.)

Thanks, Crew! It takes a dedicated community of volunteers to create trails that will last lifetimes. We couldn’t do it without you.
