Trail Update: A Glorious Day for Trail Work (finally, after all that rain!)

Saturday, Feb 10 was a glorious day to work on the trail! The sun shone so brightly we peeled off our sweatshirts and donned our sunglasses.

This was a very satisfying work party. Art pulled out blackberries with the excavator. Lydia and JT cut blackberries with weed whackers. The rest of the crew raked, loaded, dumped, drained, and leveled (the trail, that is 😆).

We are now working in the Big Meadow on Hill Creek Trail, creating a trail corridor that passes near the historic barn. Soon, we will connect the two ends of Hill Creek Trail to create a 2-mile loop.

We are grateful for the hard-working, good-natured, trail-lov’n volunteers who make this project possible. Thank You!

Our next work party is scheduled for Saturday, Feb 24. We look forward to seeing you!

(An update on the new bridge: steel supports will be delivered this week – more info coming soon)
