We had a great turn out-out at our Sept 23 work party.
Thanks, Volunteers! We couldn’t do it without you!
The “pit crew” filled buckets and buckets (and buckets) of soil from the borrow pit. We had 2 power carriers running soil from the pit to the team spreading it on the trail.
Up ahead of the spreading, volunteers clipped roots and moved organic material off the tread.
After the soil was spread, leveled, and tamped down, another team worked on naturalizing trail side – this makes the trail look like it’s always been there!
This was a super productive work party. With such an awesome team of volunteers, we completed another 1000′ (feet) of Hill Creek Trail.
Our next work party is scheduled for Saturday, October 14. All ages and abilities are welcome – we’ve got work for everyone!
