In the works: Linking two trails with a bridge – we hope!

At the north end of the Pump House Trail you might notice some yellow tape dangling from a couple tree branches. It marks the potential site of a bridge, where we hope our two trails, on each side of Hill Creek, will connect.

The video that follows shows the potential bridge site, and beneath it the map shows where we hope to build it.

What is the above? It’s Jordan Janicki (left), he’s a structural engineer, and Jerry, our crew leader, standing where the footings belong.

Jordan shared that building a longer conventional bridge, as needed, is possible. This type of bridge is cost effective, and our volunteers can build it.

We hope that this bridge proposal interests our partners and the community.
