Trail Update: Thanks to the Mountaineers Go Hike team for a great day of trail work!

Volunteers from the Mountaineers Go Hike Course joined us for an great day of trail stewardship on May 24 and helped us accomplish sooooooo much!

  • Cleaned trash out of the historic Pump House
  • Removed blackberries around the Pump House and rock wall
  • Repaired damage (due to vandalism) to the rock wall and steps at the Pump House Bridge
  • Cleared vegetation encroaching on the west side of the Hill Creek Loop (about 1/2 mile)
  • Built three bench sites (one on Hansen Creek, two overlooking the Beaver Pond)
  • Applied final rock sand capping to the elevated trail right up to the Pump House Bridge
  • Completed the Pump House trail connection to the service road

We are VERY confident we will fulfill our Scope of Work on Skagit County Parks and Recreation property before we break for summer (plus a few extra details we’ve identified along the way).

Join us June 14 and 28 for our last 2 work parties of the build season and help us reach our trail goals!

Join us on social to see our crew at work (and play).
