Skagit Trail Builders volunteer crews are always rad, but on January 25, 2025, they were extra rad!

Totally RAD crew on Saturday, January 25, 2025!!!

It was 27 degrees when we arrived at the trail head. Frigid enough for the mounds of gravel to freeze solid as stone 😉.

Undaunted by the frozen ground, our volunteers pulled on their gloves, secured their caps and … GOT-TO-WORK. A day of trail stewardship at Northern State Recreation Area in NW Washington.

We dug blackberry crowns (ugh) and finished a rock wall (cool). We moved miles of rock sand to finish the surface capping on the bonus loop (it was muddy!)

and….uh…well, basically…we were RAD!!!

Sign up to join our RAD crew … doing RAD work … in our RAD community …

All sizes, ages, and skill levels are encouraged to join in. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a rad attitude!
