When complete, the bridge will connect Hill Creek Trail with the Pump House Trail.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the beautiful bridge under construction at the north end of the Pump House Trail.

The bridge is a project of Skagit County Parks and Recreation. The County’s contractor has been utilizing a select group of volunteers from our roster to assist with the work. So, while we are not directly involved in the management of the build, we will be creating the connector trail, building the elevated approaches and restoring the site when the contractors work is complete.

When will the bridge be finished?

We are excited to share that after a brief winter holiday, the County’s contractor is back to work! Weather depending, their plan is to complete the bridge by February.

When will the trail to the bridge be complete?

Once the bridge is finished, our volunteer crews will get busy extending the connector trail, building the elevated approaches, and restoring the area around the bridge and creek. We plan to finish this work by the end of June 2025.

Does the bridge have a name?

Yes! The County has named it Song Sparrow Bridge.
