At our last work party, we enjoyed putting some finishing touches on the Bonus Loop. While there is still more work to do there, we are going to switch gears and move to the other end of Hill Creek Trail near the Big Rock.
Last year we created an impressive borrow pit harvesting native soil to build up the trail surface. At this work party, we will be simultaneously expanding the pit while we retire the area that’s been mined out – filling it in and making it look natural.
The soil we excavate from the borrow pit will be used on the North Bridge connector trail. We will also have teams working on trail side restoration.
