Trail Update: Sept 14 Work Party at Hill Creek Trail

We are looking forward to welcoming our volunteers back on Sept 14!

Our plan is to put the finishing touches on Hill Creek Trail and the bonus loop. We will build up the trail tread using mineral soil and concentrate on trail side restoration:

  • removing blackberry crowns 4 feet back from the trail
  • leveling soil
  • planting grass and wildflower seeds

We are also happy to share that two of our Youth Leaders are returning – welcome back Sativia and Alex! Joining our leadership team is Shylee Espinoza – welcome Shylee!

A big thank you to RJ, Bret, and Kim for their great work and excellent company as team leaders. They will continue to volunteer, but in more casual roles.

(If you are interested in joining our leadership team, please reach out to JT at jt@SkagitTrailBuilders.org for more information. All ages welcome!)

Bring lunch and water. Dress in layers for varied weather. This time of year it can be hot and humid or cool and rainy. Either way, it’s great to be outside!
