Training, tools, gloves, snacks, water and lunch are all provided. Volunteer sessions are rain or shine, so prepare for varying weather. We also suggest wearing sturdy shoes and long pants, since tools are being used.
Signing a volunteer waiver is required. For minors a parent or guardian must complete and sign a minor waiver – for each child. The waivers are kept on file, and are active for a calendar year.
It’s about a 15 minute walk to the trailhead. Park at the Skagit County Veterans Park, on Helmick Road – which is just East of Sedro-Woolley on Highway 20. From the parking lot follow our signs, and the white pin flags, to the trailhead. Sessions start at 10:00 am and last until 4:30 pm. It is a family friendly activity. Volunteer for a few hours, or the day – it is fun!
At ten (10) volunteer hours a STB tee shirt is earned. Thanks for your interest in volunteering!
