Exploring Hill Creek Trail with a Snow Day Social Hike

Snow Day hike on Hill Creek Trail, February 8, 2025.

About once a year, we have to cancel a work party due to inclement weather. But on Saturday, February 8, we turned that lemon into refreshing lemonade with a snowy social hike!

We were joined by 14 happy hikers for a relaxed stroll through the frosted woods. We took time to appreciate the views of the water, the snow on the cedar sways, and the magic of glossy icicles, brilliant green moss, and hollow trees that reminded us of Hobbit houses and the forts we built as kids.

What made the hike even more fun was being joined by community members who are new to the park! Friends of friends explored the new trails and made connections with each other.

Thanks for a great morning! Our next work party is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, where we’ll pick up where we left off with the work party plan.
