Volunteer signup and health screenings begin at 8:45 am, we try to be working at 9:00 am. Since health screenings are a requisite, PLEASE do your best to not be late.
Our volunteer work is on City of Sedro-Woolley, Port of Skagit and Skagit County properties. The trail and restoration groups meet at the same location, near the entrance to the SWIFT Center. Please watch for our blue popup awning and Skagit Trail Builders sign.
Our sessions are held rain or shine, so prepare for varying weather. Sessions are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes and long pants. Bring your own lunch, drinking water for the day, and show up wearing a mask.
If you have favorite gloves, please bring them. If not, no worries – we will have some. If you need a new mask we’ll have those too.
Detailed driving instructions: When traveling through Sedro-Woolley Highway 20 turns into Moore Street. At the north end of Moore Street, just past Janiki Industries (at a traffic light), you’ll see Fruitdale Road. That’s where you turn left (north) to go to the SWIFT Center, that takes you past Gateway Golf.
Watch for Wildflower Way, adjacent to a housing project. Turn right there where a gate gives you access to a grassy parking area, adjacent to Thompson Pond. The following map link provides an aerial view, which when zoomed in, the area is shown as Brickyard Creek.
